Artist Interpretation

I made Awkward a sister piece to You're So Silly to explore the unspoken labels and uncomfortable moments we all navigate. Inspired by the idea that our biggest missteps and insecurities don't have to define us, I created this piece to highlight the invisible, uneasy feelings we usually try to hide. It serves as a reminder that being misunderstood or feeling out of place is just part of the journey, encouraging us to take ownership of our own stories and embrace every messy, human phase.

Transform your space with a story of self-empowerment, authenticity, and growth. Collect Awkward today!

Prints: Produced on a heavy, smooth matte finished paper, each print is crafted using twelve-color giclée fine art technology to produce exceptional depth.

The result is a museum-quality art piece. Printed on demand with eco-friendly materials, and designed to bring this artwork to life in your space.

Prints: Shipping is free to the United States and Canada orders above $100 USD . Your print goes into production within 24 hours and takes 1-5 business days to make, then 2-7 business days to reach you in the US or Canada. Tracking is emailed the moment it ships. Unframed prints travel rolled in a rigid tube; framed pieces arrive ready to hang.

At this time, returns, exchanges, and cancellations are not accepted.

If your print arrives damaged or with a printing error, we’ll make it right with a free replacement or a full refund.

Email studio@davidmadu.com within 14 days of delivery. Include your order number and photos of the print and the packaging.
We’ll reply within 2 business days. There’s no need to send the print back unless we ask.
